葵及冬葵子原植物考辨
Textual research to identify the original plants for Kui and Dongkuizi
摘要
Abstract
This study aims to identify the original plants for Kui and Dongkuizi by reading and analyzing relevant historical literature.Misidentifications,misjudgments and false corrections by Japanese and Chinese experts as well as by modern and ancient scholars have been refuted and rectified based on comparing plant morphological characteristics,nomenclature basis,place of origin,growing environment,indications and therapeutic effects.The findings show that the ancient and modern records of the original plant for "Kui" as well as "Dongkuizi" from the family of Malvaceae is inaccurate.The original plant is creeping spinach (Basella alba,also known as Vine Spinach,Red Vine Spinach,Climbing Spinach) belonging to Basellaceae family.关键词
