摘要

Abstract

Cinder consists of irregularly shaped and porous particle, and it is formed by volcanic magma while it erupted in the air. The particle shape characteristics have a profound impact on engineering property of material. By means of optical microphotography technique, the particle planar projection of cinder filling has been acquired. Using digital image processing technology to measure particle's geometric parameters, and then get the shape index which is used to describe particle's shape and angularity, on the method of mathematical statistics analysis, the influences of particle size variation on the particle's outline shape and angularity are discussed,and the significance test of shape index changes in groups and discreteness in groups also have been analyzed. Studies have shown that: cinder is a particle material. Its shape is blocky and its surface is roughness; The aspect and length to width ratio represent particle's outline shape. It shows no significant change while particle size changes, and the particle's outline shape demonstrates no different between groups. The angularity coefficient, roughness and factual dimension which represent particle's angularity increase with the decrease of particle size, and the particle's angularity is enhancing; The test statistic F of coefficient of variation are more bigger than length to width ratio, angularity coefficient's test statistic F and coefficient of variation are more bigger than roughness and factual dimension, so aspect and angularity coefficient have a higher distinguishing degree for outline shape and angularity of cinder respectively.
