摘要

Abstract

Since the end effectors directly contact with fruit,apples were damaged due to high clamp force,thus,to de-velop a more reliable end effector becomes more important. A suction-pressure-based portable apple picker was designed to meet the demand of mechanical harvesting of apples. A series of simulation analysis and picking tests verified the feasi-bility of the device. The results showed that the average picking time per apple was 3.19s which was similar to the manual picking time[1], and harvest fruit damage rate was low, class 1 extra fancy accounted for 85%.
