Abstract
Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Taohong Siwu Decoction on incidence and mortality of postoperative deep venous thrombosis (DVT) for elderly patients with hip fracture.Methods:80patients were randomly divided into controlled group (n =40) and observation group (n =40).The controlled group was treated with routine treatment,whereas the observation group was treated with Taohong Siwu Decoction.Then,patients of the two groups were treated with DVT symptom assessment and lower extremity deep venous ultrasonography.Results:7cases were DVT (17.5％) in the controlled group.2case was DVT (5.0％) in the observation group.The incidence of DVT in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the controlled group (P＜0.01).6cases were pulmonary obstruction (15.0％) in the controlled group.1 case was pulmonary obstruction (2.5％)in the observation group.2cases were dead (5.0％) in the controlled group.1case was DVT (2.5％) in the observation group.The mortality rate of the observation group was significandy lower than that of the controlled group (P＜0.05).Conclusions:Taohong Siwu Decoction can significantly reduce the incidence and mortality of DVT in elderly patients with hip fracture.关键词
