Abstract
Objective:To analyze the relationship between perceived stress and depressive symptom of medical students so as to explore the intermediary role of resilience in their relationship. Methods: Through stratified cluster random sampling to select 20005-years students of medical specialty in four medical colleges and universities of Liaoning province. Self-administered questionnaires survey was adopted to investigate perceived stress, resilience, depressive symptom and demographic variables of these medical students. And then hierarchical regression was applied to explore the intermediary role of resilience in the relationship between perceived stress and depressive symptom. Results: A total of 2000 questionnaires were sent out and 1785 valid questionnaires were returned (89.25％). The perceived stress was significantly positive correlation with depressive symptoms in 5-year students of medical specialty. After age and gender of these students were controlled, there were 29％ changes of depressive symptoms were explained by perceived stress, and there were 8％ changes of depressive symptoms were explained by resilience. Therefore, resilience played a part of intermediary role in the relationship between perceived stress and depression symptom. Conclusion: Both perceived stress and resilience played a role in depressive symptoms of medical students. The relevant administration department of university not only should alleviate the perceived stress of medical students, but also should adopt intervention strategies to train and enhance their resilience so as to decrease the occurrence rate of depressive symptoms in them.关键词
