Abstract

Objective:To study the feasibility of preparation of sea buckthom fruit oil emulsion by premix membrane emulsification technique.Methods:Sea buckthorn fruit oil emulsion was prepared by premix membrane emulsification with a 0.5 μm SPG mem brane.Emulsion particle size was used as the main indexes,the effect of some factors including the type and amount of emulsifier,emulsification pressure and dispersed phase concentration on the membrane emulsification process was studied.Results:The optimization of process conditions for making sea buckthorn fruit oil emulsion by premix membrane emulsification was as follows,SDS was 2%,nembrane emulsification pressure was 200 kPa,dispersed phase concentration was 30%,emulsifying cycle was 3 times.Under the optimized condition,the particle size of sea buckthorn fruit oil emulsion was uniformed and the average size was 0.52 μm.Conclusion:Premix membrane emulsification can be used to prepare sea buckthorn frail oil emulsion with a small and uniform particle size.
