Research on Searching Submarine Efficiency for Anti-submarine Patrol Aircraft Based on Multi Base Sonar

Abstract
In order to solve the disadvantages of traditional anti submarine patrol aircraft searching like short working range, wide blind area, low accuracy and high cost, an efficient method of anti-submarine patrol aircraft searching based on multi bases sonar was presented. According to multi-bases sonar array, getting the preliminary position coordinates of submarine. Then anti-submarine patrol aircraft add passive buoys with four different ways, usingacoustic attenuation principle and TOL (time-only-localization) through Matlab to run multi bases sonar searching probability and GDOP location simulation. Experimental results show that under the same condition, using equilateral triangle way to add passive buoys, anti-submarine patrol aircraft perform in better searching probability and high location accuracy, and it can create an effective detection cycle by using a few buoys. The method can be applied to anti submarine patrol aircraft checking and searching and it has some significance on anti-submarine warfare.关键词
