A High Step-up DC-DC Converter with Zero Input Current Ripple

Abstract
A high step-up DC-DC converter with zero input current ripple is proposed in this paper. The converter has two coupled inductors. One is combined with an inductor and a capacitor, and then paralleled with the input side, which can eliminate the input current ripple while the zero ripple condition is independent of duty ratio. The other realizes the function of high step-up, and improves the voltage gain by voltage doubling circuit combining to the secondary winding; due to the leakage inductance of this coupled inductor, the diode reverse recovery loss is almost zero, and the efficiency of the converter is improved. Two active switches of the converter conduct complementarily to realize zero-voltage-switching turn-on operation and reduce the switch turn-off voltage spikes. The efficiency of the converter can be further improved by choosing low-voltage rated switches. Finally, a 250W prototype is built to verify the zero input current ripple of the converter and high step-up high efficiency.关键词
