摘要

Abstract

Novel Zn-doped C / Nb2 O5 nanoparticles were prepared via a simple hydrothermal method. The nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction( XRD), transmission electron microscopy( TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The as-prepared nanoparticles presented enhanced crystallinity with ultrafine morphology and Zn element was confirmed to exit as the form of ZnO randomly on the surface of C / Nb2 O5 . The amount of surface oxygen vacancies(SOVs) on the catalyst surface reached an optimal value when the molar ratio of Zn / Nb was 10% proved by the XPS and surface photovoltage spectroscopy( SPS) results. The catalyst with an optimal doping amount of Zn exhibited much higher photocatalytic activity than P25 and commercial Nb2 O5 towards degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB) and Rhodamine 6G(Rh6G) under visible light irradiation.
