Effects of Alfalfa Meals Abundant in Selenium and Cobalt Applied to Diets of Rabbit on Forage Conversion Rate and Meat Quality

Abstract
A comparative trials of alfalfa meals abundant in selenium and cobalt was applied to diets of new Zealand white rabbits (amount for 5％,10％,15％ and 20％ of diets) so as to improve better rabbit quality and higher production level by means of addition of functional forage.The results showed that alfalfa meal rich in selenium and cobalt can increase total weight gains and forage conversion rates,decrease forage meat ratio and enforce forage conversion rates.When additive contents of above-mentioned alfalfa meal account for 10％ and 15％ of ration,total weight gain can be increased by 8.97％ (P＜0.05)and 13.67％(P＜0.05) respectively,forage conversion can be increased by 5.02％ (P＜0.05)and 6.56％(P＜0.05) respectively,the contents of essential amino-acids in meat were raised by 10.07％ (P＜0.05)and 8.68％ (P＜0.05),but no apparent effects on the contents of crude protein as well as the contents of total amino-acids(P＞0.05).关键词
