Implementation and application of vibroseis acquisition using frequency-separated simultaneous sweep technology

Abstract
It is challenging to improve the production efficiency of vibroseis in seismic exploration,for example,slip-sweep data is seriously affected by harmonics,multi-vibroseis simultaneous sweep data may be influenced by strong neighboring shots,and dis-tance-separated simultaneous sweeps need large amounts of equipment.This paper applies frequency separated simultaneous sweep (FS3)technology,which divides a sweep signal into a few segments,with the sub-sweep signal consisting of part of the sweep fre-quency band.Thus,several vibrators can independently and simultaneously work with different sub-sweeps,and neighboring-shot interferences will be eliminated or kept at a minimum.This technology can increase production efficiency,enhance the energy of specific frequency bands such as low frequencies,and balance the energy for the seismic frequency band in records.Harmonics and crosstalk created by other high-efficiency vibroseis technologies such as nonlinear sweep can also be eliminated.The technology could help obtain high-quality vibroseis data.关键词
