Authority Control: From Selection of a Name to Entity Management

Abstract
The library catalogs have adopted the method of description and access (point) separation, and authority control relies on selecting an authorized name, which is no longer suitable in the decentralized era of Internet. From results of standard R&D since the 2010s, such as IFLA Library Reference Model, BIBFRAME, RDA's revision and MARC21 format update, trends can be seen in authority control that use the entity's identifiers instead of authorized names, that is, the so-cal ed entity or identity management.关键词
