Adaptive Coherent Integration Based Signal Detection Method for Transient Electromagnetic Logging

Abstract
The low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is one of the main factors which affected the development of borehole transient electromagnetic system due to the complicated measurement conditions such as high temperature,high pressure and motion measurement.Aiming at this problem,an adaptive coherent integration detection method for borehole transient electromagnetic systems is presented based on the cylindrically multi-layered inhomogeneous model.The method utilizes the correlation of transient electromagnetic response of the adjacent periods in motion measurement and achieves the adaptive length coherent integration by calculating the Frobenius norm of the difference of response in different periods.Field experiment results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively improve the SNR of borehole transient electromagnetic system.Comparing to the fixed length coherent integration,the proposed method can adapt to the borehole environment much better.关键词
