摘要

Abstract

In view of the application requirements for universal UHF RFID reader antenna,a novel circular polarization(CP)design of broadband reader antenna for universal UHF(840 MHz~960 MHz)RFID applications is proposed. Antenna with planar slot patch structure to coplanar waveguide(CPW)feed achieves wide-band circular polarization characteristics. The measured 10 dB impedance bandwidth is 735 MHz~1 014 MHz,and the fractional bandwidth is 31.9%,S11<-20 dB within 840 MHz~960 MHz,the measured 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth is 838 MHz~1 134 MHz,and the fractional bandwidth is 30.0%,the operating band has a flat gain greater than 3.5 dBi.The simu-lation results are in good agreement with the measure results and the antenna structure is simple,easy to process,to meet the universal UHF RFID reader antenna application requirements.
