New Method for PMU Configuration Based on Improved BPSO Algorithm
摘要
Abstract
The main objective of optimized configuration for phase measurement unit (PMU)is to find the minimum PMU number and location required for full observability of the power system,therefore,the paper presents a kind of improved method based on binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO)algorithm and compares this algorithm with the traditional BP-SO algorithm in IEEE standard testing system.On the basis of original BPSO algorithm,this improved method uses V-shaped threshold function to replace S-shaped threshold function and update locations of particles,and considers redundancy degree index in the fitness function as well as proposes new mutation rules to increase diversity of population.Experimental results indicate this method has improved convergence efficiency,reduced probability of algorithm results falling into local optimum and ensured redundancy degree of measurement to the full extent,which verifies accuracy and effectiveness of this algo-rithm.关键词
