Homogeneity Management in Screening High Risk Factors of Diabetic Foot in Hospitalized Diabetic Patients in Non-endocrine Departments

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of homogeneous management in the screening of high risk factors of diabetic foot in hospitalized diabetic patients in non-endocrine departments. Methods A diabetes mellitus homogeneous management team was established. Training and assessment of the diabetes specialist knowledge and operation skills were conducted by the homogeneous management team for diabetes link nurses. Then qualified nurses carried out the screening of high-risk factors of diabetic foot in the diabetic hospitalized patients. Results Risk factors screening of diabetic foot was conducted in 20 wards and 302 cases were screened out within 5 months with a screening rate of 21.2%. Risk factors of diabetic foot were screened out in 90.1% of the 302 patients. After the screening and education, the patients acquired more diabetic foot knowledge and improved their foot care behaviors. Conclusion Homogeneous management can ensure that diabetic patients enjoy the similar service in different nursing units and benefit improving the quality of specialist nursing,which is worth to be promoted.关键词
