Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between self-management efficiency and nutritional status in colorectal cancer patients after fast track surgery (FTS). Methods Seventy colorectal cancer patients were chosen with convenient sampling, and surveyed by using general information questionnaire, strategies used by people to promote health (SUPPH) and patient-generated subjective global assessment (PG-SGA). Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between patient self-management efficacy and overall nutritional status. Results The total score of SUPPH in colorectal cancer patients after surgery was 80.55±19.47, with a scoring rate of 63.96%. 2% of patients don't need nutritional intervention, 29% require nutritional support and in this part patients who need to control nutritional-related symptoms and nutritional support was up to 69%. The score of self-management efficiency had closely negative correlation with the nutritional status in colorectal cancer patients after FTS (r=-0.797, P=0.003). Conclusion The self-management efficiency of colorectal cancer patients is in a moderate level and they have poor of nutritional status in general. The improvement of self-management and nutritional status will benefit promoting patients' recovery and quality of life.关键词
