摘要

Abstract

According to the previous research on Taihu Lake and other shallow lakes,the water movement is mainly affected by the direction of the wind.The form of the water movement is mainly the wind-driven flow.In order to study the basic character-istics of the wind-driven flow in shallow lakes,we established a flume experiment device to simulate the wind-driven flow at the 15 m/s wind speed.The PIV system with high sampling frequency was used to measure the precise hydrodynamic characteris-tics of the wind-driven flow,and obtained the vertical flow field information of the wind-driven flow.The test showed that the measurement results of the system conformed to the formation law of wind-driven flow,and has the ability to simulate the wind-driven flow.By contrasting the vertical distribution of time-averaged flow field,horizontal velocity,vortex,turbulent shear stress,and turbulent intensity at different distances at the same wind speed,we analyzed the hydrodynamic characteristics of the wind-driven flow.The results of this experiment can provide basic data for the further study on the hydrodynamic characteristics of shallow lakes.
