摘要

Abstract

Earth-rock dam breaching may bring tremendous catastrophe to the people's lives and properties in the inundation area,thus,the research on the breach process of earth-rock dam has great significance to the evaluation of the disaster.First,the major factors of dam failures are analyzed in terms of the dam failure cases.Then,based on the classification of dam breach models for earth-rock dam,special attentions are paid to the research progress of parametric breach models,simplified physical-ly-based breach models,and detailed physically-based breach models.The updated research on the breaching simulation tech-nology of earth-rock dams are summarized and evaluated,in the end,some proposals for future research are put forward.
