Abstract
Objeetive:To evaluate the transcription factor SOX4 (SRY-related HMG-box 4) and EMT related protein (E-cadherin) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and normal oral mucosa (NOM) expression and correlation,provide the evidence for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:Using immunohistochemical S-P to detect the expression of SOX4 and E-cadherin protein in 50 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma and in 20 cases of normal tissues.Correlation analysis with biological behavior parameters such as histological grade,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage was performed.Results:In OSCC tissues,the positive rates of SOX4 and E-cadherin were 56％ (28/50) and 42％ (21/50).Combined with the clinical pathological characteristics of OSCC,it was found that SOX4 and E-cadherin were closely related to the pathological grade,clinical stage and lymph node metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma,and the difference was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).At the same time,the expression of SOX4 was negatively correlated with the expression of E-cadherin in OSCC tissues,and the difference was statistically significant (r =-0.552,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:The abnormal expression of SOX4 and E-cadherin may be closely related to the occurrence,development,invasion and metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.The combined detection of the two may provide a reference for early diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.关键词
