摘要

Abstract

[Objective]ABC transporters are one of the oldest protein families widely found in organisms,and they play an im-portant role in plant growth,development and stress resistance.The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between drought tolerance and ABC transporter genes,and provided references for the discovery of drought resistant genes and the molecular mechanism of drought tolerance in foxtail millet.[Methods]In this study,foxtail millet drought-tolerant variety(GG)and drought sensitive variety(JF16)were treated by 20% PEG in seedling stage,and transcriptome sequen-cing was conducted with mRNA from GG and JF16 leaves.According to transcriptome sequencing data,four differentially expressed genes related to ABC transporters were detected in this study.The basic information and promoter cis elements of these genes,and phylogenetic tree of ABC resistance-related genes among foxtail millet and other plants,and their expres-sion patterns during drought stress in foxtail millet were further analyzed.[Results]The result showed that the protein isoe-lectric point of these ABC transporters varied in the range of 6.81~ 8.97,the molecular weight was in the range of 51 195.75~161 579.13 Da;there were many regulatory elements that respond to stress(ABA,Ethylene,GA,MeJA,Light, MYB,SA,HSE and LTR);Seita.1G039400.1 and Seita.7G176000.1 had the closest genetic relationship,they also had close relationship with A tA BCC5.After drought resistance,only Seita.7G176000.1 gene showed increased expression in drought-tolerant varieties,but others 3 genes were decreased in drought-tolerant varieties.[Conclusion]Seita.7G176000.1 gene could be a candidate gene among the ABC gene families to regulate drought tolerance in foxtail millet,which may regu-late plant tolerance through regulating the opening of stomatal.This study may provide theory basis for further research on the relationship between the expression of ABC transporters and drought tolerance.
