摘要
Abstract
[Objective]The bZIP transcription factor gene family,plays crucial roles in various plant developmental and physio-logical processes,it can inhibit or activate the downstream gene transcription in the process of response to stress in plants, thus enhancing the ability of plant to adapt to the environment.This study provided experimental data for further study of the function of SibZIP8 gene.[Methods]In the previous study,a genome-wide analysis of SibZIP genes and expression profi-ling under stress was performed and SibZIP8 was identified as a putative drought-resistance gene.In this study,in order to further identify the function of SibZIP8 gene,over-expression of SibZIP8 was applied in Arabidopsis and the resistance phe-notype of transgenic plants was analyzed.[Results]The results showed that wild germination of Arabidopsis thaliana and transgenic Arabidopsis were not found under 1.5 μmol·L -1ABA treatment,significant difference was not found between wild type Arabidopsis thaliana and transgenic Arabidopsis at 300 mmol·L -1mannitol,under NaCl conditions,wild-type Ar-abidopsis did not germinate,while transgenic Arabidopsis sprouted.[Conclusion]SibZIP8 transgenic plants were more resist-ant to salt than wild type plant.In conclusion,our study should make a great contribution in genetic improvement of millet cultivation with stress resistance.关键词
