摘要
Abstract
As a new broad spectrum amphenicol, florfenicol performs excellent anti-bacterial infections and is now widely used in animal clinical treatment. However, the extensive usage of florfenicol leads to the increasing trends of bacterial resistance. Particularly, a few florfenicol resistance genes also causes no efficacy of oxazolidinones, which are effective in human clinical treatment for multi-resistant bacterial infections including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant enterococci,therefore posing a significant threat to public health. This review summarizes the current knowledge of mechanisms of bacterial resistance to florfenicol in order to provide the theoretical guidance for control of the occurrence and dissemination of florfenicol-resistant strains and the reference data for rational administration of drugs in veterinary practice as well as the risk assessment for human and animal health.关键词
