基于游标效应的双MZI温度传感理论研究
Double Mach-Zehnder interferometer temperature sensor based on vernier effect

Abstract
Sensitivity is an important parameter of optical fiber sensor, this paper designs a double Mach-Zeh-nder interferometer(MZI) temperature sensor based on vernier effect, the sensor consists of two cascaded MZI with similar arm difference. It studies the method of using vernier effect to improve sensor sensitivity in de-tail. Theoretical simulative results show when the heating area becomes longer, the sensitivity of the sensor will get more improvement. Besides, when the arm difference of sensor interferometer is shorter than the arm difference of another interferometer, the envelope curve will move in the direction of short wavelength, other-wise, move in the direction of long wavelength. The vernier effect can greatly enhance the sensitivity of the sensor, when the length difference between the arms is 0.01mm, the sensitivity can be increased by 100 times.关键词
