Abstract
The performance of DC circuit breaker is directly affected by the criterion of DC circuit breaker.The characteristics of fault traveling wave of DC system are analyzed and a start criterion of DC circuit breaker based on wavelet decomposition is proposed in this paper.Firsdy,the voltage traveling wavelet of the system fault is decomposed through wavelet transform under different scales.By comparing the modulus maxima under high scales,the fault of DC system is distinguished.This paper utilizes the polarity of the modulus maxima of current traveling wavelet to determine the external fault or the internal fault and integrates those two criterions to form the start criterion of the DC circuit breaker.Finally,simulations are performed by MATLAB and PSCAD,and the simulation results show that the start criterion is simple,easy to implement,and has a high reliability and rapidity.关键词
