Abstract
Objective To explore the reno-protective effect of astragalus injection combined with mycophenolate mofetil in patients with immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy. Methods The medical records of 86 patients who had been suffering from IgA nephropathy and admitted to our hospital were collected.Among them,40 patients (the control group) received mycophenolate mofetil and another 46 patients (the observation group) received astragalus injection plus mycophenolate mofetil. The course of treatment in both groups lasted for 12 months.Comparisons were made between the two groups with respect to the changes in such renal function indexes as 24 h urinary protein (Upro),urinary albumin (UAL),retinal binding protein (RBP),urinary N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (UNAG),microalbuminuria (mAlb),albumin (ALB),total protein (TP),serum creatinine (SCr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum immunoglobulin M(IgM),immunoglobulin G(IgG) and immunoglobulin A(IgA) before and after the treatment.Reults After the treatment, the levels of 24 h Upro,UAL,Scr,RBP,UNAG/Cr,mAlb,IgG,IgA and IgM decreased, while the levels of TP and ALB in both groups increased;these indexes in the observation group were improved more significantly than those in the control group (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05).Conclusion The astragalus injection combined with mycophenolate mofetil can reduce the glomerular injury and improve the renal functions in patients with IgA nephropathy.关键词
