摘要

Abstract

The influences of different parameters on sound insulation performances of single-layer windows are studied experimentally.These parameters include casement forms and specifications,window frame profiles,open mode and sealing form of the windows. The results show that the casement forms have small effect on the weighted sound isolation of the casement windows, however their characteristics of low-frequency resonance are significantly different. Sound insulation performances are similar in low frequency range for different types of casement forms,while vacuum glass and laminated-hollow glass have the best sound insulation performance in 200 Hz-2 000 Hz frequency band. The sound insulation performance of plastic steel windows is slightly better than that of broken-bridge-aluminum windows, and is much better than that of ordinary aluminum alloy windows. Enlarging thickness of window frame profiles can effectively improve its sound insulation performance.Owing to the slight influence of coincidence effects in middle-high frequency range,sound insulation performance of the casement windows is better than that of sliding windows.Furthermore,the use of coated seals instead of seal strips is an efficient way to enhance sound insulation effect for sliding windows.This paper may provide a necessary basis and support for the sound insulation in building design and window renovation.
