Abstract

Since there is error in estimating rotor position by pulsating high frequency voltage injection method of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), the error analysis theory of rotor position estimation is proposed based on high frequency voltage harmonic analysis. Because the power tube switch discretization causes three-phase inverter output harmonics, the Fourier series expansion of three-phase bridge tube switch vector is carried out. Then SVPWM modulation theory is combined to calculate the switching time of each tube, and the fundamental component of voltage is calculated. On this basis, the source of the rotor position estimation error is analyzed and the error expression is deduced. The influence of various system parameters on rotor position estimation error is verified by simulation, numerical analysis and experiment. It provides the theoretical basis for the selection and optimization of the control system parameters related to high frequency voltage injection method of PMSM.
