摘要

Abstract

The high frequency signal injection method for position-sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in low speed region will produce extra power loss. Moreover, this method is computationally intensive. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid position-sensorless control scheme for PMSM based on combination of IF control and sliding mode observer. In low speed region, IF control with open speed loop and closed current loop is used. The phase relationship between virtual synchronous frame and rotor synchronous frame is analyzed. In high speed region, sliding mode observer (SMO) is used to achieve position-sensorless control. Sinusoidal function is adopted to decrease the chatter in SMO. The smooth transition of the two control schemes is achieved by designing a proper transition status. This hybrid control scheme is verified by experiment results on a three-phase PMSM.
