摘要
Abstract
As development of the power system and introducing new dynamic behavior,the existing EMS design is not able to respond to the need to monitor,protect and control power system.The desirable features include integration of field data,introduction of new decision-making tools based on data analytics for knowledge extraction,and flexible transition from legacy to new design.Firstly,the limitations of the original EMS design and EMS functional framework were introduced.Then,the existing design was enhanced for three functions including alarm processing,fault analysis and state estimation.The three functions have been identified to demonstrate improved performance of the mentioned applications:intelligent alarm processing,automated fault locating,network-topology processing.Finally,four exemplary new EMS functions were introduced.New functions are primarily related to new data analysis such as detection and mitigation of cascade fault,matching data and models and automatic fault analysis.关键词
