Research on low-dose-rate and long distance radiation detection based on scintillating fibers

Abstract
Alow-dose-rate and distributed monitoring system of radioactive source based on scintillating fiber-shave been proposed to overcome the shortcomings of current typical radiation sensors, which have a small detection range. Firstly, based on the principle ofscintillation optical fiber for radiation sensing, the construc-tion of experimental and some related experiments have been carried out. On the basis of validating the feasi-bility of the experimental system, a scheme of linking scintillation fiber with transmission optical fiber is put forward, which is expected to be applied to realize low dose rate artificial radionuclide sensing in wide area marine waters.关键词
