Abstract
In this paper,the tensile strength test of two kinds of silicone sealant samples A and B were tested respectively under the standard conditions (23℃) and low temperature conditions (-50℃ and-55℃).The test results showed that the silicone sealant with the decrease of temperature,the maximum tensile strength and modulus increased in the tensile strength test,the maximum strength elongation decreased,once it reaches its lowest limit temperature,elastic mechanical properties of rubber will lose.By DSC analysis,it is shown that silicone sealant has crystallization behavior above the glass transition temperature,and the crystallization temperature (Tc) is much higher than the glass transition temperature (Tg).So crystallization behavior has obvious effect on the mechanical properties of silicone sealant under crystallization temperature.According to the experimental results,we suggest that silicone sealant should be considered to the minimum limit temperature in the low temperature application,and suitable sealant products should be chosen because silicone sealant has different performances at low temperature.关键词
