Abstract
Objective:The purpose of this study was assessing the effect of strip crown throught follow-up study on its restoration for dental caries of maxillary deciduous incisor.Methods:Thirty-eight cases of children with dental caries of maxillary deciduous incisors,and 95 maxillary deciduous incisors with dental caries were selected.All the caries were moved thoroughly.Then they were prepared as required,and restored with strip crowns.The effect of restoration for dental caries of maxillary deciduous incisors were observed after 18-month follow-up,and their oral hygiene habits were recorded.Results:No matter which standards were selected,compressing,edge coloring,surface texture or secondary caries,the group's success ra-tio whose caries involved 1~2 tooth faces was a little higher than it whose caries involved 3 or more than 3 tooth faces.How-ever,it was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The group's failure ratio whose brushing time was less than 1 minute ev-ery time was higher than that whose brushing time was longer,but it was also not statistically significant(P>0.05).The fail-ure ratio of some research objects who brushed their teeth not everyday was higher than that who brushed their teeth every-day,and this was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The strip crown in repairing extensive dental caries of max-illary deciduous incisors is with effective result,meanwhile the children should still strengthen their oral hygiene habits.关键词
