Effect of comprehensive intervention on prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome in obese children

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive intervention on prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome in obese children.Methods Eighty-eight obese children admitted to our hospital between January 2015 and August 2016 were selected as subjects.These children were divided into two groups by completely random number method:the comprehensive intervention group and the control group.The control group was subjected to routine interventions while the comprehensive intervention group was given comprehensive interventions.Interventions lasted 6 months in both groups.After 6 months of intervention,the body's indicators of these children were compared between the two groups.Results After six months of intervention,the difference in body mass index,waist circumference,blood lipids,blood pressure,blood glucose,and insulin-related data (P ＜ 0.05) was statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05) in both groups,and there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (P ＜0.05).Conclusions The incidence of obesity among children with insulin resistance and metabolic abnormalities is relatively high,which deserves adequate attention.Effective means of intervention can reduce the risk of this disease.关键词
