Abstract
Since the frequency fluctuation exists the actual power system which makes the strictly synchronous sampling condition can hardly meet, the frequency and other parameters of the power system are difficult to accurately measure. To deal with this problem, a novel frequency measurement algorithm based on frequency shift and filtering is proposed by this paper. By simply shifting the frequency components of the original signal and passing the shifted signal through a filter, the frequency of the power system can be obtained accurately. Compared with typical frequency measurement methods in the time domain, the proposed algorithm has small computational complexity, real-time and simple algorithm. Besides that, compared with traditional Fourier algorithm and its improved methods, our algorithm does not require solving equations and windowed interpolation operations and can effectively overcome the drawbacks of traditional Fourier algorithm which are spectrum leakage and fence effect. The proposed method has been tested under the conditions of fundamental frequency fluctuation, different sampling frequencies, different sampling points, various word-length of the analog to digital converter and different signal-to-noise ratios, respectively. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve the accurate measurement of the power system frequency and effectively inhibit white noise interference. The application in an experimental test platform verified the accuracy and reliability of the proposed method.关键词
