Abstract
Objective To compare two masking methods of air-conduction threshold measurement in pure toneaudiometry.Methods 228 cases with different types of hearing loss were tested for air-conduction threshold,and thesame subjects were tested air-conduction threshold respectively by the plateau method and the step method.Results Theconsistency between the thresholds obtained by the two methods was good (ICC＞0.75,P＜0.05),The air conduction time ofplatform method was longer than that of the step method,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05),There wasno significant difference between the two methods in the threshold value of the mean value of the air conduction thresholdand 0.25-8khz frequency doubling air conduction threshold (P＞0.05).Conclusion The plateau method and the step methodwere both effective masking methods of air-conduction threshold measurement in pure tone audiometry,but the step methodis much faster.关键词
