Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of ancient proximal needling on lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow).Methods:50 patients were randomly divided into the observation group(n =25) and the control group (n =25).The control group was treated with common acupuncture,and the observation group was given proximal acupuncture.12 times of the treatment was taken as one course.Scores of VAS and MEPS were compared before and after the treatment to evaluate curative effect in the two groups.Results:There were significant differences in the scores of VAS and MEPS between pre-treatment and post-treatment in the two groups,and the differences were statistically significant(P ＜0.01).The total effective rate was 96％ in the observation group,which was significantly higher than 88％ in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Proximal acupuncture has better clinical efficacy for lateral epicondylitis,which is superior to common acupuncture.It is worthy of clinical promotion with its simplicity,cheapness and high efficiency.关键词
