Comparative Experiment of Zhongshu Series Potato New Varieties

Abstract
In order to breed out new potato varieties with high yield and high quality and suitable for the cultivation in winter fallow fields in Hunan,a comparative experiment of 17 new varieties of Zhongshu series was carried out,'Zhongshu 5'was used as control.The results showed that the yield and disease resistance of'Zhongshu 18','Zhongshu 20','Zhongshu 17','Zhongshu 9'and'Zhongshu 10'were better.The best comprehensive performance of early maturing variety was'Zhongshu 10',which has smooth skin,shallow eye.Its yield was 30 917 kg/ha and increased 7.5％ compared with the control.'Zhongshu 18'was the middle-late maturing variety,oval shape tuber,strong disease resistance,its yield was 33 417 kg/ha,the highest,and increased 16.2％ compared to the control.The middle-late maturing variety with early tuber formation,high yield,strong disease resistance could also be planted with rice rotation in the winter fallow field if early harvest.关键词
