Effect of Harvesting Time on Chemical Components and Neutral Aroma Substance Contents of Burley Tobacco

Abstract
In order to clarify the suitable harvest period of burley tobacco,the effects of different cutting periods after topping on tobacco chemical components and aroma substances contents were studied.The results showed that,the effects of different harvest time on tobacco reducing sugar,potassium,chlorine content were not obvious.Nicotine content was increased in delayed cutting period.Cutting tobacco plants at two weeks after topping was beneficial to the accumulation of total nitrogen content.The ratio of nitrogen and nicotine in different parts of tobacco leaves was changed during the cutting period,and different types of aroma components were affected by harvest time,the sensory quality of tobacco leaves at three and four weeks after topping were better.The suitable cutting time of burley tobacco was 3 ~ 4 weeks after topping.关键词
