Experimental and Simulation Analysis on Spray and Combustion Characteristics for Different Qualities of Diesel

摘要

Abstract

Due to the different qualities of diesel have different combustion characteristics and flame lift-off under various injection conditions,kerosene is used as a contrast diesel,the equipment of constant volume bomb is designed,the spray combustion characteristics of image processing software is developed,and the flame lift-off length under the different ambient pressure,ambient temperature and injection pressure is test and compared.The experiment results indicate that the flame lift-off length of diesel and kerosene increase with the injection pressure increasing,and decrease with the ambient pressure and ambient temperature decreasing.Under the lower ambient temperature and ambient pressure,the flame lift-off length of kerosene is longer than that of diesel,and more sensitive to the ambient temperature and ambient pressure.Meanwhile,the three-dimensional simulation model of constant volume bomb is built with the STAR-CD software.The results show that the simulation results are nearly same with the test results,and the deviation of the main injection section is not more than 5 %,which verifies the accuracy of the simulation model.In addition,from the perspective of the molecular structure of the fuel and the number of carbon atoms,it can be used to predict the flame lift value of different carbon fuel.
