Expression and significance of apical sodium-dependent bile acid transporter in small intestinal cancer
摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of apical sodium-dependent bile acid transporter (ASBT) in intestinal cancer tissue and explore its potential role in the genesis of intestinal cancer.Methodls:Immunohistochemical staining and Western blotting were performed to detect the expression of ASBT in normal intestine tissue,small intestinal adenocarcinoma,mucous carcinoma and small cell carcinoma tissue.Results:Expression of ASBT in normal intestinal tissue was mainly located at the membrane on the free surface of absorptive epithelium.In small intestinal cancer,the expression of SLC10A2 was down-regulated obviously.In small intestinal mucinous adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma,the ectopic expression of ASBT was also found in the nuclei of cancer cells.Image and statistical analyses showed that the difference of ASBT expression between normal small intestine and cancerous small intestine had statistical significance.Conclusion:Downregulation and ectopic expression of ASBT in small intestinal cancer tissue indicates that ASBT encoding gene (SLC10A2) might play an important role in the genesis of intestinal cancer.关键词
