Impact of anthropogenic pollution on “7.21” extreme heavy rainstorm

Abstract
The aerosol-cloud-precipitation interaction was fully coupled online by using WRF-Chem model to investigate the impact of Anthropogenic Pollution(AP) on an extreme heavy rainstorm.It is suggested that WRF-Chem model could reasonably simulate the meteorology and chemistry condition of the extreme rainstorm with a fully AP through the comparison with available observation data.A decreased AP could invigorate the precipitationin contrast with that without AP,however,in the case with a fully AP,the area where precipitation.amount above 200 mm was 7 times of the case without (with a decreased) AP,and AP has a substantial influence on the extreme rainstorm.The increase of cloud condensation nuclei,sufficient moisture and extra releasing of latent heat together to invigorate convection were reasons for the heavier rainstorm when coupled AP.关键词
