Abstract

CuO-ZnO-ZrO2/HZSM-5 bifunctional catalysts for synthesis of dimethyl ether (DME) by CO2hydrogenation were prepared by homogeneous coprecipitation with urea as precipitant and characterized by XRD,BET,H2-TPR,NH3-TPD and SEM.The effect of urea dosage on the structure and catalytic performance of the catalysts was investigated. The results showed that the proper amount of precipitant increased the specific surface area of the catalyst, improved the reducibility of the catalyst, made the surface acidity of the catalyst more suitable, and provided the catalyst with smaller CuO grains, thereby effectively increasing the catalytic activity of the catalyst.Under the reaction conditions of pressure of 3.0 MPa,temperature of 260℃ and space velocity of 1500h-1,the best catalytic effect is achieved over the catalyst prepared by using 4 times stoichiometric amount of urea,and the conversion of CO2 and the selectivity and yield of DME were 20.9%,50.5% and 10.6%,respectively.
