Sero-epidemiological Investigation on Sheep Toxoplasmosis in Large-scale Farms in Altai Reclamation Area of Xinjiang
摘要
Abstract
In order to investigate the Toxoplasma infection status in large-scale sheep farms located in Beitun City of the tenth division of Xinjiang Aletai reclamation area,890 sheep serum samples were collected from 7 farms belonging to the tenth division,then the sero-epidemiological investigation was carried out towards those samples by indirect hemagglutination test(IHA). Results showed that the average positive rate of serum antibody against the Toxoplasma was 6.18%(55/890)in large-scale sheep farms.Toxoplasma infection was observed in all of the sheep flocks,indicating a wide infection range.The ewe flocks were more susceptible to Toxoplasma,and the infection rate (9.36%)was relatively high. Besides,the infection rates increased with the rise of sheep ages. All of the mentionedcircumstances should be paid more attention.关键词
