Modified Predictive Torque Control for PMSM Drives with Parameter Robustness

Abstract
Predictive torque control (PTC) is based on the prediction of motor torque and stator flux for all possible voltage vectors of inverter. These predictions are derived from a mathematical model of the motor that depends on the motor parameters. But, these parameters may not match with their nominal value because of temperature rise, flux saturation effect, etc. These parametric uncertainties lead to inaccurate predictions of torque and stator flux and affect the performance of the predictive algorithm. This paper presents a modified predictive torque control for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to overcome the influences of motor parameter mismatch. In the proposed algorithm, a robust torque predictive model is established. With the help of this predictive model, the proposed algorithm could still get the accurate predictive results under the situation of parametric uncertainty, thus the overall control performance can be promoted. The feasibility and effectiveness of proposed algorithm are verified by the experimental results on a 6 kW PMSM.关键词
