摘要

Abstract

Considering the sway error of the low frequency synthetic aperture sonar(SAS) system,this pa-per proposes a motion compensation method based on the echo data of redundant elements.The presented method firstly obtains the wrapped phase error via averaging the echo data of the overlapped phase centers between two successive pings in the range dimension.Then,the unwrapped phase error can be got through the sliding superposition.Based on the estimated phase error,the motion compensation for the echo data of the multireceiver SAS is carried out.The simulation results show that the presented method can accurately estimate the sway error.And the estimation deviation is smaller than 0.002 m.After compensating the mo-tion error,the imaging results,which are mostly the same with the case of no motion error,are obtained.It greatly improves the target focusing performance and satisfies the need of the motion error compensation in the low frequency SAS system.The real data processing results further validate the efficiency of the presen-ted method.
