Abstract
With the deepening in rare earth research and the increase demand for rare earth,with the complexity of the min-ing technology of ionic rare earth,it produces large quantity of acid solution during the mining process and it causes different acidic levels of the soil.The effect of soil acid stress on the seed germination of Paspalum wettsteinii Hackel is studied in the paper according to the result of investigating the rare earth tailing abandoned acid soil environment in the field.The aim is to discuss the adaptive range for seed germination of Paspalum wettsteinii to acid environment,in order to provide basis for plant selection in rare earth abandoned land.The results show that the seeds of Paspalum wettsteinii have a wide range of ad-aptation to soil pH from 4.0 to 6.0.The germination trend in pH 5.5~6.0 shows the unimodal type and that in pH 4.0~5.0 shows the bimodal pattern.The gemination rate,genination potential and gemination index present the same trend with an increase in soil pH,which was higher during 5.5~6.0 than that in 4.0~5.0.It is concluded that the seed of Paspalum wettsteinii adapts to weak acid environment with pH 5.5~6.0,while the seed gemination is depressed in soil strong acid.关键词
