Dialectical Materialist Conception of History and the Mode of Production

Abstract
The Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is a resultant outcome of what the Communist Party of China (CPC) has been following as the"three adherences". As one of the three adherences,"adhering to dialectical materialism and historical materialism"entails dialectical materialist conception of history, whose core element lies in the mode of production. The dialectical materialist conception of history includes the mode of production,the productive forces and the relations of production. The mode of production equals a particu-lar way of articulating forces of production with relations of production,based on which the four assumptions of pro-duction mode are raised. Transforming the mode of economic development also gives birth to the necessary factors that can generate new means of production. The new mode of production must be formed in the dynamic process of changing from"uneven or inadequate development"to"balanced and adequate development". From the liberation and development of social productive forces are derived new productive forces. From reform of the economic system are derived new relations of production, commensurate with the new productive forces. Hence, the new means of production are forged as we enter a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.关键词
