摘要
Abstract
In his monumental work A Short History of Chinese Philosophy, Feng Youlan argues that Confucians take art and morality as an educational tool while Taoists regard natural idealization as the theme of artistic creation. Based on rich historical data,the present paper aims to analyze,discuss and expound Feng's views embodied in A Short History of Chinese Philosophy by focusing on the major music genres prevalent before and during the Qin and Han dynasties. It is believed that the above arguments and the complementation of Confucianism and Taoism are the integration of rites and music and nature,which precisely reflects the musical outlook of Feng Youlan embodied in A Short History of Chinese Philosophy.关键词
