Abstract

From the macro topography of the gully, natural, ecological and economic and social factors, 12 indexes were selected to construct the evaluation index system of the gully remediation potential of Hilly and Gully Region of Loess Plateau. Taking Yan'an city as an example, 3S technology was used to obtain the index value and each index fell on the evaluation unit of 30 m × 30 m. The entropy method was selected to determine the weight of each index, and the weighted comprehensive index method was used to evaluate the potential value of each unit, and the isometric method was used to classify the evaluation results. The results showed that the remediation potential in the west, north and northeast of Yan'an City was very small, and that in the south central and southeast was large. The proportion of large and small potential areas was 12.70% and 55.69% respectively. The remediation potential of large area was mainly distributed in the inefficient use of garden and abandoned grassland, reflecting the topography and natural factors would mainly affect the spatial distribution of the gully remediation potential. The results provide basic data and scientific basis for the rational layout of gully remediation project and ecological environment protection.
